Dear Assyrian brothers / sisters, 

You are invited to participate in the first historical Assyrian National Referendum, and demonstrate the unified demands of the Assyrian nation worldwide in regards to our rights in our ancestral homeland, Iraq. Assyrian National Referendum is conducted in accordance with the applicable laws and resolutions of the United Nations in reference to the rights of the indigenous peoples and national minorities. 

The objectives of this Referendum are: 

1. A United, Democratic, Pluralistic, and Parliamentary Iraq

2.Constitutional recognition of the historical and national name of the Assyrians

3. Constitutional recognition of the Assyrians (Chaldeans, Athuryeen, Souryans) national rights in Iraq

Assyrian National Referendum is an independent undertaking sponsored by AssyriaSat. Assyrian individuals, 18 years or over, regardless of their country of birth, country of residence, church denomination, preference of political party, and membership of any organization are strongly encouraged to take part in this humanitarian program. 

For the purpose of confidentiality, the names of the participants will not be announced on any media, nor published in any publication. Every adult individual must complete a separate form. The forms are available in all common languages known to the Assyrian people worldwide. 

This project must be completed by the deadline of the New Iraqi Constitution, August 15, 2005. Therefore, we strongly encourage every participant to assist us by gathering the names of their friends and family members (with their consent). The more Assyrians participate in this Referendum, the louder our voice will be heard.
