So what this means is you must forgive, not just wait for people to go ask for forgiveness then forgive them. They need not come to you or any other man and ask for forgiveness (though it is better) they only need to ask our Lord. Remember Titus who was crucified next to Jesus he never said please people that I did stuff to forgive me...oh no ..he asked the Lord who was next to him and Jesus told him he would be with him in Paradise forgiven.

People have come to this forum with that same "holier than thou" attitude. They've tried to woo us with their words. The fact of the matter is you are all cut from the same cloth. You are prostituting the word...you are deliberately changing and twisting its meaning. We are not stupid. Ashur Soro did the same thing in his seminars. Your words fool no one. They are simply a piece of dump wrapped in shiny aluminum foil.
I'm going to put this very frank and simple to you. I don't have time for games nor do I have time to go back and forth with you:
What you did is take one isolated verse from the bible and present that as if that is all God is. God is 100% pure mercy and love but God is also 100% pure justice. If he did not deliver justice, then his love and mercy would be invalid and not true/genuine. This is what the Church teaches. If you make God to be only mercy and love then you lie and you attempt to make God's word a lie. Therefore you sin.
I have a hard time believing you are a member or supporter of the ACOE. Even if you are it is very apparent you lack education in the ways of the ACOE. The style of preaching you are practicing is called reformationist/non-denominational. You are practicing "private interpretation," which is anti-Apostolic and anti-ACOE. It is not Apostolic, which is what the ACOE is.
The ACOE teaches us that the Word/Commandment of God is not only manifest in the Bible, but also in his Apostolic Teachings/Traditions and is present in the Holy Synod with the leadership of His Holiness the Patriarch (Universalist/Teweelaya/Catolicos).
The Lord Jesus made it very clear that he gave over his authority to Shimun Keipa (Simon Peter) via the Holy Spirit so that he will build the Church (The Church of Babylon/Selucia Ctisphon). Furthermore, he charged all to keep the traditions. These are the Apostolic traditions. Our Church is legitimate b/c of Apostolic Succession. This means that we [this generation] have been handed over the Church exactly as God would have wanted it to have been handed down. We retain those traditions that Jesus showed/preached.
Within the Apostolic Tradition in the ACOE, WE HAVE OUR OWN INTERPRETATION - God's Intended Interpretation/Rendering of the Holy Scriptures. This is because we have followed Apostolic Succession and Tradition. What this means is that our intepretation is as the Lord would have wanted. Not what a person or people would like us to believe. Not what Martin Luther would have wanted us to believe or practice, not what Mar Yacub or Mar Maron would have wanted us to practice, but what the Lord Jesus would have wanted us to practice. This is done through obedience to the Word and to the Traditions. Disobedience leads to confusion...the same confusion you are trying to infuse into this forum...the same confusion and chaos that plagues this entire planet. Had you been educated you would know that in the ACOE we have something called the "Hidra" which comes from the Assyrian root "to revolve, cycle." It is a collection of Biblical selections that are used in Church and Holy Mass in a well-planned cycle. One selection is pre-chosen for every Sunday. The priest will read that selection and emphasize one aspect of that selection. The next year, you might see the same selection/chapter but a different part of it is emphasized. This goes on for three (3) years until it begins again.
Following all of these things, we listen to what His Holiness Mar Dinkha tells us b/c what he binds here on earth will be bound in heaven. His Holiness Mar Dinkha is the Saint Peter of today. He has the same authority as Shimun Keipa, who received his authority from Jesus the Messiah.
It is not for you to simply pick up the bible, open it, and pick out a verse to fit your argument...which seems only to benefit Ashur Soro and his fellow apostates of Satan. His Holiness has stated that he who does not ask for forgiveness will not be forgiven. Mar Dinkha's word is law. If you do not like that, then you can follow Ashur Soro or whoever you follow.
In saying this, His Holiness stuck to what the Bible itself says. Apostolic Tradition is not in contradiction to Scripture, rather it is a supplement/complement to the Holy Scriptures.
In saying what he said (and what His Grace Mar Meelis said), they followed what the Bible says. Read 1 Corinthians 5 (Expelling the Immoral Brother). It covers not just sexual immortality, but all types of immorality ("the greedy, swindlers, idolaters, etc."). Furthermore, read 2 Thessalonians 3:5-7 and 14-16 (Ignoring and not associating with those who disobey the teachings/traditions).
Don't bother replying to my message unless you study this Church in detail. It is very apparent to me you are just a young kid and you lack training.
Go...and sin no more.
