"To Malik Don
Hello Malik Don, what is the reason you are giving up on us now? The Assyrian (your omtah and etah) needs an intelligent God gifted young man like you. I have learned so much from you’re posting. So, I would like to ask you politely to come back for the sake of this nation and me. You should challenge the enemies now that is the only solution. And I know you are capable of doing it. Additionally, prove it that you are brave Assyrian man who can and will fight for his Church and his Assyrian name. Thank you,"
--Thank you for your concern. However, I never left. I have been posting on this forum regularly for a few years now. At times, my posts will be few because it is very important that I keep my focus on my studies. It's not like posting here will earn me (or you) any bread one day. It may force people to think or to look at the truth though. Thus, it is important I do not lose focus of what's more important in my life at this time - school.
H.G. Mar Odisho said something very much related to this. He some something to the effect that we should not be so preoccupied in trying to argue our side daily just so that we can earn a few people back after having argued the subject with them repeatedly in the past (and we're not even guaranteed they will wake up after all of that). Rather, we should keep focus on the fact that we already have quite a large congregation and that this flock needs tending to. Such is my current situation. No issue is pressing enough that I will abandon my path. I intend to use this knowledge for the betterment of our people.
Mar Odisho also said something else that was brilliant. He compared the Church [of the East] to the boat that the disciples were on (Matthew 8:23-27). Suddenly, the boat was rocked by a tempest. Wind and rain frightened the disciples. They rushed to wake Yeshua and the first thing he did was comment on their lack of faith and then calmed the storm. Today, we are in the position of those same people. The Chosen Church will never be defeated.
Today, we are in a privileged position. We stand knowing the truth. Our Church has been cleansed of a virus. People are learning many things on a daily basis as a result of what has gone down these past few months. Now is the time to demand better leadership in our committees and communities so that what happened does not occur again. Now is the time to strive to make improvements in the places it matters (e.g. our hearts). Our institutions are not at fault. It was the malintent of many of the people within the institutions. Our ways are tried and true. We will never compromise our faith for a false unity and a false peace...for such a peace with preconditions is no peace at all.
Let us not be stirred by the apostates. Now is the time to make strides in our faith. Now is the time to implement more language classes and expand our learning. Now is the time to begin looking to the younger generation to find the strong ones among them...ones who are truly faithful and not ones who are looking to become priests or party leaders because they are no good at anything and need easy jobs...ones who do good because it is the right thing to do and not for their own pride.
