Yes, I agree with what Shamiran is saying. My children as well enjoy watching Assyria-sat. It does not have to be a cartoon. They enjoy watching all of the programs. It's up to the parents to stop their children from the days routine and put them in front of the Tv and have them watch a program other then American language.

I remember growing up watching Bet-Nahrain Tv at that time it was on one day a week for one hour. We are so lucky today to be able to watch it all of the time. I remember my father would say, "Turn of the morning cartoons and let's watch Bet-Nahrain". He truly got me involved in every event that took place in our Omta from tv to events. My children love watching Dr. Sargon D. everytime he's on although, Late. mostly friday nights, as a family just like renting a movie and camping out in front of the tv with popcorn and all we watch together. It's an family friday nights. That is our method of getting our children involved. It's important that they hear on and on that we are Ashourayeh and proud of it. So, when they come across people in the futrue that will attempt to change their thinking they will have an answer.
I believe it's important to get children involved in events. For instance, Akitu festivals, yoomit Sahdeh, telethons, parades, events that have to do with speakers, and so on.
Let me tell you how wonderfull it is to have your children come up to you and tell you Kaya Atour. My daughter the other day tells me."Mom kaya Atour, I love my Omta I want in the future to have a Bet-Nahrain of my own". What do you say to that? it brought tears to my eyes i told my husband we're doing right dear, we're doing right. From the get go plant the seed. The seed on Omta Ashouretah also the seed of the love of God.
