Food For Thought

Many of us in San Jose were amazed at the decision of Superior Court Judge Murphy in denying our church's preliminary injunction motion last February. There were numerous rumors flying around about the ex-bishop's connection to Judge Dolores Carr and eventually Judge Murphy. It was no secret the ex-bishop and his brother in law were ardent supporters of Judge Carr's campaign for Santa Clara District Attorney. With the support of some Iranian Muslims, they even threw a fund raising party for her at the Mar Yosip church hall. Now elected as District Attorney, we see that District Attorney Carr has just appointed Judge Murphy to the post of senior deputy district attorney, second in command only to her. Funny how the judge who ruled on the ACOE motion has now been rewarded with this new post. Just food for thought.
