Would one of our law experts please educate us on the following?
1. What does a “Summary Judgment” mean?
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of a Summary Judgment to either party?
3. Can a Summary Judgment be appealed, even by the requesting party? Also, one of my old nagging questions, with the separation of church and state laws in the U.S. no judge or Jury has the right to question the legitimacy of a clergy’s termination (although, there were many reasons for termination in Soro’s case). The other side’s argument has been that Soro was terminated unfairly, that’s why yada yada yada. Are Soro’s attorneys too dolt to realize that argument won’t fly in the court? That regardless of the fairness of his termination, 1: he had no right as a trustee of the church to change title to his Sole Corporation and God knows do what with his employers’ funds, and 2: now that he is terminated, he does not have any right to keep his ex-employer’s properties. Period! Is there something I’m missing in this picture?
