Dear Forum Contributors (and those Assyrians of Australia especially),
I was hoping those of you reading this could help me in finding out about an Ashuri man by the name of Mr. Philip David. If you do know this man, let me know. If you will be replying, do not reply saying anything negative or speaking against him. I would simply like to know if the man is alive and well.
The reason I am asking is because Mr. Philip David is the author of a dictionary/word compilation book called, Foreign Vocabularies in the Assyrian Language. This book was released by Mr. Philip David in New South Wales, Australia in the year 1999.
I searched relentlessly to find this book for over a year now. The reason being...I had originally seen this book in our library in Mar Gewargis ACOE (Ceres, CA) about two years ago. At that time I was involved in an Assyrian Aramaic class there and assumed that the book would always remain there. Unfortunately, since Ashur Soro decided to steal our properties and this whole sharing the church thing occurred, I found that many books from that library were outright stolen...their worth - priceless. My heart ached when I knew this was the case. I love Assyrian language. I love the letters...I love having an excuse to write those beautiful letters. I love sounding them out. I love the words of our language. I love the strength of our language. Not much more pisses me off then when people blatantly disregard our books and sacred writings.
Let this be a warning to any jerk in the future who wishes to pull another "Soro" on the members of the ACOE or the Assyrian people in general. If I catch another person pulling this kind of crap in the future, I will not wait for the synod to remove you. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME someone will do this and cause such heartache and turmoil in this Church.
KHAYA OMTA ASHURETA, THE ACOE, & THE HOLY WRITINGS.
