I know...the blame isn't entirely on President Bush. I just was just replying sarcastically to Nissan b/c I felt like his post was really out of place. Why do we always look to blame Muslims when it is really the "christian" nations that have caused all of these problems...which makes life even more of a hell for those of us who really do live like christians, especially those in the Near East who are desperately trying to live in peace with their Muslims neighbors and brothers.
However, I saw an interview of Bush on 60 minutes and he said if America is looking for a "scapegoat" to place the blame on, that person is him and they can place the blame on him. Well Mr. Bush...I place the blame on you...you and your Masonic conspirators who are following a plan put in place for I believe centuries now.
As far as the figures go, I quoted the 2 million displaced Iraqis from this article:

There are other figures in that article I did not quote...like the 1.7 million Iraqis displaced within Iraq.
Overall, I am extremly disgusted with what has happened. And yes, you are correct...this war was 100000% ILLEGAL. I remember back in 1998 when America sent over some F-14s to Iraq to drop bombs on people and surveil. I was still in middle school at that time. All I can remember was that (censored) of a teacher I had saying, "oh I love America! You see how they free the world of tyrants. I am so happy that we live in such a country. My God, what kind of animal people are they for killing each other?" [In reference to the Anfal Campaign] Of course, this lady did not realize in her presence was an Assyrian, deeply offended by what she was saying. She also did not realize that America put Saddam in his place and sold him weapons to go to war with Iran and to gas the Kurds. America loved Saddam (I have pictures of that twit Dumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam) while Saddam was behaving and fulfilling their wishes. Finally, when Saddam realized what it was they had done to him it was too late and that's when they REALLY clamped down on his (censored)...told him to invade Kuwait and then cried foul to the UN, started the First Gulf War and killed thousands of Iraqis, bombed all of Iraq's important facilities like hospitals and electric-power plants, and put in the no-fly zones to really mess things up. Then they flew the planes into the towers and came up with an excuse to go to war with Iraq.
Americans like to see war, just not in their own country. They like to see non-Americans suffer and die. I cannot state to you the amount of times some of these stupid hicks in this area have said or done disrespectful things to us Assyrians b/c they think we are going to blow ourselves up or something. And it's not just us either...they killed this poor Punjabi guy just because he had on a turban. There were times (years ago) when racist white students invited over Assyrians to house parties and our people, eager as always to fit in, went and got beat nearly to death. These beatings included baseball bats and other weapons. Recently an Assyrian was beaten with a baseball bat in this area...part of it some suspect b/c he kept a fairly thick beard.
If this is the kind of treatment we are going to get in this fake (Censored) country, with its fake freedom and its lifestyle of worshipping money and running the rat race...a lifestyle that is turning our daughters into w-hores and our men into women-hating/degrading and abusive people, then I would rather die in my homeland of Iran and Iraq. A lot of the [Assyrian] people in California have not gotten the chance to see what a second, third, or fourth generation Assyrian looks like. I don't mean appearance. Have you every seen one? A lot of them just know that their grandparents were Assyrian. Yes, they use the past tense form of the verb, "to be." And that's it. Nothing more. I tell you that if we keep heading in the direction we are going that all of us will be just like that. Times have changed and change in lifestyles has accelerated rapidly. Today, an Assyrian can come as an F.O.B. ("Fresh of the Boat") and tomorrow he is wearing all of America's clothing, trying to act like an American, and laughing at you and me for still talking in Assyrian language and not w-horing around. What once took at least one whole generation is now occurring in the midst of a few months.
I am convinced that Assyrians can only survive in the homeland. We can sit here and whine about Islam all we want but the fact of the matter is that even amongst Arabs and Persians we were always known by the name "Ashuri." Over there, we maintained our identity more than we have here...in the "freedom" of America (or the West in general) where not many will turn back to our lifestyle after seeing a half-naked, scantily-clad woman on TV or in person.
