I recall reading in an article back then that Saddam did notify the American

"He was send there for one main reason and I hope I can find the links again to post it for you, America had to pay Kuwait billions of dollars from buying oil from them, they couldn’t even catch up with interest rates. Therefore, America decided to send the puppet there for invasion and once he is there, America will get involved and then everything will be opposite with who will pay back who, so now Kuwait will pay America for helping it with the war. Does it sound strange?
