The Pope Gregory XIII decree has shifted April first 11 days after the first day of the Spring, which for thousands of years Assyrians celebrated the NEW YEAR (Rish Nissanu)on the first day of SPRING SEASON.

This year of Assyrian New Year of 6756 starts on the first day of spring Season (Rish Nissanu 6756 begins at 10:25:35 AM California time on Monday March 20, 2006).
