Dear Gaby

Let's say that a "safe heaven" is really a "tenete city" as promoted by those who want join the so-called "nineveh plain" to the so-called "kurdsatn" - Isn't the better for Assyrians to leave in a "tente city" rather than living in bombs and killings ? Didn't the kurds start by a "safe haeaven" and now they are a "state" in a "state" ?

Secondly, you said that you prefer an "administarative region", did you know that kurds asked to join the so-caled "nineveh plain" to the so-called kurdstan ?

Did you know that alllllll the so-called chaldean organizations agree on this and that the puppet Mar Mikhael of Alqush and the puppet Tahsin Bey asked for the same a year ago ?

Did you know that the purple heroes didn't make any stand reagrding these aims ?

And finally, did you know that the kurdo-islamic constitution didn't mention any thing about this "administrative region" ?

Our "wisemen" are still unable to dinstinguish between an "administrative rights" and an "administrative region"; read the constitution and tell me what will you find.

A safe haven is an area of any size that holds within its boundaries a threatened people. The security is very high compared to its surrounding region. All who enter this area are disarmed and searched, those with no business in that area are not permitted to enter. if an unarmed civilian tries to infiltrate this area, it is the only time a soldier is permitted to shoot, much like a prison guard.

There are problems associated with it. If the people under protection are not threatened with annihilation it would not be wise to place them in a safe haven for the following reasons;

1- The people may be scattered in a large area; that would mean they would need to leave their homes and villages to live in what could be a tent city. The ones that don’t leave their homes would become isolated from their people and be targeted.
2- The deserted houses could be occupied by others and the owners may not be able to claim their property in the future.
3- The protected people do not have right of choice to the security force protecting them, in our case it could be Kurdish militia.

There are other choices like a self administered region, this way the people will chose the level of security and choose to provide their own security, this does not isolate them from the rest of the country, they will be much like a county within a state, within a country.
