Dear CDA,

The ‘silence is acceptance” is not what I have noticed from Zowaa. At least I have not seen it. What I have seen is that they high ranking individuals within the Zowaa party seldom respond to any of AssyriaSat news items.

I have made some inquires about why Zowaa does not confirm or deny such news. Their strategy is that in the fullness of time the truth will come out and rather than lock horns with anyone putting out such allegation. In short, they do not really care what AssyriaSat says. Reason being, “most people know the AssyriaSat as a mill that churns false news”.

To a certain extent I have witnessed such a case. I heard it on AssyriaSat that Mr. Kanna was recalled to USA and that he would be arrested due to Mr. Kanna’s alleged Baath crimes committed against the Iraqi citizens.

This of course was false because the man not only was invited to the white house but also went on to meet some US officials and traveled to many US cities.

Yes Zowaa did stay silent on this. So, if we were to apply the same theory of “Silence is confirmation” we would be very wrong.

I agree that within two weeks or so we will know the truth and then we shall know what the real truth and who is right and who is blowing wind.

What I object to is that we are spending our time sifting through many rumors and inaccurate news be it on the net or on the air.

This of course is an abuse of our time and an insult to our intelligence and an abdication to ethics and good news reporting.

Such things dig a deeper hole for this beleaguered nation.
