My beloved Assyrian brothers and sisters,
Happy Rish Nissanu to all of you. May Ashur Alaha Bless you and your families for this New Year of 6756. May the spirit of our glorious forefathers and our courageous martyrs never leave us, and may the ill wishers of this nation face the mighty rod of Ashur.
As Assyrian Christians, we have many great advantages. One of which is we get to make New Years resolutions twice a year
![]()
The followings are my resolutions for my Assyrian nation:
1. To maintain our ancient and eternal faith in Ashur Alaha and His Son Jesus Christ in all walks of life, be it personal, national, political or religious.
2. To have the courage to fight the bitterest of wars in our mission as Ashur’s Rod of anger, yet maintain our purity and humbleness as a nation. There was a time in our history that this rod of anger was used against the outsiders (i.e., Jews). Today, we have the same mission to defeat the enemies within our own nation. This house cleaning is required in preparation for Ashur's promise to our people.
3. To continue our personal duty of installing sense of nationalism and awaken the long asleep brethrens who have distance themselves from Yma Atour.
4. To have the wisdom of distinguishing between right and wrong and have the courage to destroy the ugliness that keeps weakening us from within.
5. The courage to seek the truth, live the truth, preach the truth and defend the truth regardless of the consequences.
6. To always remember that Assyria, the Assyrian identity and the Assyrian cause are above any political party, any national or cultural organization, any church denomination and definitely above any personal agenda.
7. To forgive as much as humanly possible those who bring misery to our people, but to never forget so the history does not repeat itself.
8. To find the strength to endure the hardship of daily life, especially the Assyrians who still live in Assyria (Iraq), and generally those who are deprived of the safety and comfort of the Western world.
9. To believe in Isaiah’s prophecy which promises us our Assyria, and Jesus’ assurance that men of Nineveh will rise in judgment.
10. To continue having the Blessing of Ashur over our beloved Bet-Nahrain organization and the most powerful Assyrian global television network, AssyriaSat so the Assyrian people around the world will have a strong voice.
