People like Ashur Gewargis give nationalists a bad name. A true nationalist would never put God below his nation. After all, God has created and named this nation after his own name. No Assyrian can be a true nationalist if he is not a good Christian. And no Assyrian Christian is a true Christian if he is not a true nationalist in heart. Ashur is on khony khony term with traitors and Zowaa supporters like Fred Aprim and Alfred, etc. but he insults true nationalists on this forum and more important His Holiness Ashuraya Ninvayah Mar Dinkha IV!
As talented as Ashur is in writing (he has written many nationalist articles), he seems to not understand real nationalism. Just the fact that he mocked and compared ADO, (which is the Daghasta party in Syria that follows the same policy in Syria as Zowaa did in Iraq), with BNDP party that has always guarded and fought for the Assyrian identity and cause shows how much he does not appreciate other nationalists. That insult comes from Ashur’s anger about the success of the Assyrian National Congress Assembly in Ceres just a couple months ago. I will not make any detailed comments as to his motives because it would not be fair since he is banned and can not defend himself.
It is just sad that by this day and age a nationalist like Ashur can not understand the importance of protecting our Assyrian mother church, ACOE.
We apologize to everyone for not deleting Ashur's last post in which he insulted H.H Mar Dinkha. We would like to keep that remark on the records and in our archives for future reference.
