A Support for Ishtar TV is a Support
for Kurdish Terrorism against
the indigenous peaceful people of Iraq, the AssyrianThe distortion of "Freedom of Speech" to benefit Krudish terrorist run TV station, called Ishtar TV employed and send their delivery boy, George Mansour, to come, and try to poison Canadian Assyrian with lies and deceptions, but to his surprised there were not even a single Assyrian organization in whole Canada attended the session.
The session, held on February 19, 2006, that took place in north of Toronto, at Grand Palace, 5111 Steeles Avenue West, Toronto- M9L 1S7

Iraq became a divided country with no real government that provide protection to the indigenous Assyrian people of Iraq. The new drafted and accepted Iraqi constitution was copied from Lebanese constitution format, and in a same structure that will bring continuos religious confrontations, killing and wars. The rising of political and military instabilities in Iraq have been causing the indigenous Assyrian people of Iraq to be terminated at the hands of Kurdish terrorist parties and organizations in north of Iraq. The Kurdish terrorist organizations wanted to ensure take over land of Assyrian and claim it to be a Kurdish homeland. With all tragedies, and continuous murdering Assyrian, Assyrian remain with no safe heaven, and no protection from the United Nations.
Some of opinion given of the background of George Mansour: Lived in Russia for years and claimed to hold two degrees from Russia, one is a Master degree in philosophy, and a degree in industrial journalism. George Mansour, an Assyrian from Iraq, hold a Canadian Iraqi citizenship. He and his wife and children are considered from a Roman Catholic of Chaldean Church. He married in 1984 "Jarme" in Iran. George Mansour also known by another name as Youkhana, shares strong affinity with his wife to a communist ideology. He penetrated Assyrian Canadian organizations for years, taken notes of their activities, worked as sander and a general helper in a carpenter shop, working as a writer and a sales advertisement for an Arabic newspapers, sold advertisement in which sales were considered cash money with no declaration to Canadian Federal Income Tax. He collected social assistance from Canadian government. He contacted various Canadian media, and put himself in spot light as Iraqi Human Rights spokesman, and from other angle as an Iraqi citizenship facing fears of Saddam Hussien. He gained employment to be in charge of Iraqi election in Canada, working for "The Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq". Currently he gained employment as General Manager for Ishtar TV that is financed by Kurdish terrorist organizations.
The Canadian Assyrian Concerns
Canadian Assyrian whom attended the session have been asking about the newly established Ishtar TV in north of Iraq (Assyria), but getting no truth.
Canadian Assyrian are deeply concern for uprising Kurdish terrorism upon Assyrian in north of Iraq, and the so called "Ishtar TV" links in ownership and establishment with Kurdish terrorist organizations.What is the true identity of Ishtar TV? Evidence shows, it is Kurdish terrorist run TV station. How that can be, when Ishtar is an Assyrian name, and employs few Assyrian from Chaldean Christian religious domination? There were no truth given, except lies, deception and contradicting talk, when General Manager of Ishtar TV, George Mansour, presented a public open session to talk about Ishtar TV on Sunday, February 19, 2006
"Is it Ishtar an Assyrian TV or a Kurdish TV Broadcasting? Why George Mansour is collaborating with Kurdish terrorist organizations, helping, and hiding their intentions, and their identity, not talking the truth, only giving different lies and deceptions, and most importantly attacking Assyrian identity, Assyrian national rights and putting Assyrian, in north of Iraq, to face death whom speaks out against Ishtar TV?
The Kurdish organizations pulled together their strength to take over the north land in Iraq by any mean. Their propaganda is needed to take the land of the indigenous Assyrian peaceful people "Assyria".
What is not acceptable is that Kurdish terrorists call the occupied Assyria by "#####". The syllable of "istan" means "land", so adding Kurd with "istan" means land of kurdish. The Kurdish terrorist placed many defense buffers, such as Ishtar TV, and their activities in murdering Assyrian, causing force Assyrian migration from their land, etc. to ensure advancing Kurdish take over north of Iraq.
The Kurdish employed Assyrian whom sold themselves for money, such as George Mansour and others. The Kurdish assimilation process for Assyrian to accept the word #####, and to show to world nations via United Nations that Assyrian are living happily with Kurdish and have all their rights and the support from Kurdish, something that they are working hard on such image by Kurdish organizations, spending millions of dollars.
From our point of view as Canadian Assyrian, we are saddened and outrage to allow Kurdish terrorism to come to Canada, to try to silent out Assyrian voices. It is a fact that Kurdish are murdering Assyrian in north of Iraq and Ishtar TV does not represent Assyrian. The Assyrian national symbol used in Ishtar is a misleading to Assyrian and world community, in which such symbol represent Assyrian.
Canadian Assyrian sees the establishment of Kurdish terrorist network in Canada to feeding information and liaison all kind of activities, including watching their delivery boy, George Mansour, to poison Canadian Assyrian and Canadian government in general with lies and deceptions are not acceptable.It was disgraceful session that presented insult toward Assyrian, layout name "#####" to replace the "Assyria", replace Assyrian name with slash names such as "#####/assyrian/suryani", and calling the Assyrian national icon used as logo in Ishtar TV, as "Star of The East", deleting of facts that it is from Assyrian national flag and represent Assyrian identity.
Few Assyrian came and they voice out their objection to the Kurdish run TV that evidence shows the concealment and secret cover of their work, bringing forward Kurdish desire to run a TV station, using Assyrian name "Ishtar", Assyrian symbols and so on. No doubt one of many objectives drawn is to show to the world that Assyrian in north of Iraq are living wonderfully. Such deception is being funded by millions of dollars, employing human resources, equipment and logistic means. Surely, confusing to world nations, and no one can realize the destruction of Assyrian national identity, and depressing, enslaving, termination of liberty, freedom and justice, and forcing Assyrian to become hostages in their own homeland, Assyria (north of Iraq), with no safe heaven to protect them from Kurdish terrorism.
Kurdish best interest in penetrating Assyrian organizations can easily be done by employing communist people such as Geroge Mansour. George Mansour concealed the his activities and his intentions, and implement Kurdish agenda, policies, desires, and their dirty terrorism. All is paid from stolen assets of natural resources in north of Iraq, be it petroleum or other assets, and employing such money to continue murder Assyrian peaceful people, and taken away their homeland Assyria (north of Iraq), and distablizing Iraq.
George Mansour continuously calling land of Assyria by "#####", and labeling Assyrian with slash fabricated name "#####/Assyrian/Suryan", and claming his Ishtar logo does not belong to Assyrian. He allowed others to add to his insult on Assyrian in various ways, standing up and saying, in Iraq you were chicken, and here in Canada you are talking.
Canadian Assyrian stood up and spoke, and when they spoke, they were asked to leave. Assyrian walked out, with wording that Ishtar TV and its team are subjected to Canadian laws. The Assyrian left the hall meeting with words from George Mansour, saying
"if you don’t like what you see, and hear in Ishtar TV, do not watch it".The Public Open Session
George Mansour spoke with high contrasting words in regard the objective of Ishtar TV, its funding, its capital, and ownership of Ishtar. He became very uncomfortable with numerous questions Assyrian asked. His MC (master ceremony) of the session, a person named Majid Aziz whom publish Akkad newspaper in Toronto, (http://www.akkad1.com), came to George Mansour assistance, and asked Assyrian those started questioning and being outrage for the humiliation allowed on the floor to be directed on Assyrian national rights and in calling Assyria with slur name "#####", as well as labeling religious identity to replace Assyrian name with "#####/assyrian/suryan" or better known as "slash names", to leave the small hall.
Ashur Malek, who spoke in Assyrian, and later in English and Arabic, putting forward two simple questions, of why calling our homeland Kurd-istan and not the true national name "Assyria"? Why labeling us, the Assyrian, as a religious entity, with the slash names, as #####/assyrian/suryan ? Ashur Malek objected to hear Assyria homeland being replace with slur, naming it, "#####", and to insult Assyrian by saying you Assyrian are nothing, here in Canada. Majid Aziz requested Ashur Malek to leave. Ashur Malek left the session, as well as some other Assyrian walked out as they could not take insults and humiliations upon our Assyrian people and our Assyrian national rights.
Some people whom are from Ishtar supporters were sitting and speaking among each other, one of them said, this man is not a Kurdish or Iraqi why he is complaining, referring to Ashur Malek’s sadness, whom is an Assyrian from Lebanon. It is clearly shows that people have no knowledge in Assyrian history, and the Assyrian national rights.
As the session progressed in time, George Mansour, proclaimed to be the owner of Ishtar Broadcasting Cooperation, and General Manager of Ishtar TV faced direct questions from Assyrian, but he refused to answer them in transparency and clarity. His proclamation came after time passed when he said that the TV satellite station is paid by few of our people. He angered Assyrian deeply after starting labeling Assyria, with a fabricated name "Kurd-istan".
The start of the session
The Kurdish propaganda media, under deceiving Assyrian name "Ishtar TV" lunched out advertisement in akkad newspaper, as well as in Internet and by other means to invite people to an open session that allows George Mansour to speak about Ishtar TV and answer questions.At the beginning, at 4pm, there were around ten people, later on attendance reached close between fifty to sixty people. There were some taken notes, and pictures for their website or for news network, such as Husam Alsaafar whom was representing a business advertisement and non political news website based in Toronto, (http://www.assaha.ca), There were not a single representative from any Canadian Assyrian organization in Canada. All Assyrian Canadian Assyrian organizations did not lured by massive advertisement to this session (website, newspaper, tv, etc.).
People whom placed Ishtar logo tag on their chest cloth, were around six to ten people, some of them were Kurdish, such as a Kurdish ethnic lady whom said that she is currently working for Ishtar TV as a journalist, her name is "Chro Zend" and her history in work cooperation with George Mansour goes years before, as she wrote in his newspaper Al-MarIat (the Mirror), where George said, the he was a manager and Dr. Saad Al-Mal-Lah the owner.
The videographer person, named khan-Nam Yalda, was capturing videographic of the session. Khannam Yalda is the owner of Babel Studio, tel. (416) 663-4784. Khan-Nam Yalda is also training a hired Ishtar TV technician on videographer equipment. He indicated that he does not have time to work with Ishtar TV, due of being too busy with his work. People seems to have some preservation, that might be to avoid losing customers as Ishtar TV reputation became a liability to businesses.
There is no doubt that this session was a propaganda to put an image for them in Canada at expense of Assyrian national rights. Even so, it is predicted that the objectives of George Mansour visit to Canada, (also known by a name, YoukhanNah or Youkhan,) are the following:
1- To do his income personal tax papers (file them as other Canadian do)
2- To see his wife and children
3- To promote IshtarTV, name of #####, and "#####/Assyrian/Suryan"
4- To enjoy being presented on being on spot light, as an important person, where people said, he greatly enjoys that.Introduction
Majid Aziz, manager of Akkad newspaper (www.akkad1.com) presented George Mansour with all positive and noble words. George Mansour and Majid Aziz were sitting at the table facing group of people.
Many Assyrian people who knew George Mansour do totally disagree with such given noble descriptions, and gave their opinion. They disagree, because of his ethics, his collaboration with terrorist organization, double standard he takes, accompanied with not being honest, and considered a highly con artiest.

Worked for Iraqi media network, and various newspapers such as Al-Sabbah newspaper

He came here so we can be knowledgeable, and he brings with him his salutations from Ishtar TVAfter all such introduction, Goerge Mansour spoke, while sitting behind the table, here what he said:
He said, that the idea of Ishtar Iraqi TV is an Iraqi independent TV
He said: since I was General Manager in Iraqi TV before Ishtar, he did not see greater exposure of media
George said, that today newspaper does not have much effects (results) as well as radio, but TV does brings powerful results
He said, he worked with BBC media, to bring Iraqi media and such idea of Ishar TV came to his mind.
He said, he gained Canadian license on April 5
He said, "Ishtar Iraqi TV" is an independent, and it cares about Assyrian/Chaldean/Suryani, and for that people they do have deep heritage and as you know, the politics in Iraq back then did not allow them to speak.
He said: The picture and quality that you see in Ishar TV is excellent, using Camera XD, (HD), and training technicians to do the job.
He said, they have news studio and they are studying in having studio for programs.
He said, that Ishar gained offices in Seeden, Canada, USA, London and soon in Australia, so they can put us in touch with our people.Financial Aspects
George Mansour, at the beginning said that Ishtar TV was financial by few of our people and do not want to mention their name, but later in future he will. However, later on, he said that he (George Mansour) is soul owner, Ishar Broadcasting Co-operation. This came after numerous questioning fiancial aspects of TV Ishtar.One arabic person asked, who owns it and what is the capital?
He said, it is mine, and refused to disclose the capital that put forward to establish Ishtar TV
George spoke and said, that financial aspects for Ishtar comes from few of our people, and they don’t have any connection with political parties. He can not disclose their names, but may be in future.One person asked him, if it is his, referring to Ishtar TV, and where did he get the money? He said, he worked hard, plus people in Ankawah donated money.
One person ask if he can buy shares? George Mansour, laugh and said in future, as a joke.One person asked: Are you are taken from Center Iraqi government and from Kurdaish?
Geroge replied, "I can take, but I don’t want because of conditions imposed.Logo
One person ask, about the Ishtar logo George said, that the star is "Star of The East"
He did not say that is an Assyrian flag, but said its color are dated before Christ, Red is war, white is peace, blue is water.
George Mansour failed to say the true meaning of Assyrian flag and its origin, such as: River of Friad and Dajlah, and was designed as Assyrian flag by Assyrian Universal Alliance.
Assyrian did not have national flag, so this his log that Ishtar TV uses is not before Christ since is taken off Assyrian flag.
Historical Assyrian symbol do present symbol of star, but with no color.
George Mansour seem that he did not know what he was taking, in one hand he recognized #####, and not Assyria, and his mistakes clearly shows his descriptions of Assyrian icon used in his Ishtar TV. He said, Symbol was before Christ, that means, he indirectly saying that it is Assyria, and not Kurd-istan.He said, logo design belong to no one and he consulted with the three Church Bishops, Assyrian Church of the East, Chaldean church and Suryain Orthodox church. This is not true, as many Assyrian business do have that symbole such as Ishtar Resturan owned by Youkanna Mammo, tel. 416-748-5883
George Mansour said, this TV is for Iraqi, if you don’t like it do not watch it. It is for all Iraqis.
George Mansour said, as soon as Saddam Hussine lost power, he went and took over the Iraqi Media.
George Mansour said, that Ishtar TV is for our people "#####/Assyrian/Suryani". He spoke highly about the Kurdish people struggle for years, and how they struggled to gain their homeland #####. He mentioned the word ##### several times.
He said, that Ishtar is media and not a political party, for that we don’t employ a word "terrorist" in our program, because we don’t talk politics.
He said, we want to open offices to gain advertisements, as you see that Ishtar do present business advertisement.
George said, it is shameful to speak about political parties, that they call themselves "Parties" lie day and night.
George Mansour said, that political parties do not have history, here he is referring to Assyrian indirectly. He said, there is greater distance in USA, Canada, and we present things that people see it useful.Many Assyrian stood up objecting George and his smear propaganda campaign in using ##### word for our Assyria homeland, as well as using "#####/Assyrian"Suryani".
At the end of the session, people placed flyers "##### against Genocide", and inviting people for their meetings with mentioned date. Flyer will be send to proper Assyrian media.
Also people gave magazine called "Lakkom" in English translation is "For You", produced by Majid AzizMajid Aziz said, he went one day to an Assyrian Church of the East, but apologized as he can not speak Assyrian, However, he said, we are Assyrian ( and did not say in Assyrian church of the East, we are #####/assyrian/suryani as this term is used by him).
Conclusion:
Being George Mansour as an Owner is truly seems hard to believe, for a person whom seemed well known to people that he collect welfare, a communist, worked as worker in carpenter business, and worked, taken money "under the table" from Arabic newspapers, such as "Al-Mariat ( in English meaning Mirro).
Finding is that Ishatr TV is a Kurdish run satellite TV station, that been formed to intimidate and bring danger on Assyrian, and to delete their national rights.
