Persi,
"Approximatley 13 trs ago, the catholics in Turlock had a priest named Sabree. The leadership of the catholic church started having many problems with him. which eventfully led to his expulsion by Abrahim. It was a nasty sistuation, because he would not leave in peace(sounds familiar, does it not?) The church in Turlock was closed for 6 months due to the strife that Sabree and his followers had with their church leadership. Sabree attempted to join our church and bring approximately 300-350 families".
Persi, I call this comparison. 300-350 families is not a few people who supported him. Also, The church was not closed for 6 months. There was mass every sunday. Fr. Kamal performed even in the midst of the demonstrations. Fr. Sabree was asked many times if they can join different churches including Church of the east. He gave his blessings to everyone.
I want to clear one thing and it's important
you compared Sabree to Soro as a trouble maker. No, Sabree believed in Omta Atouretah, Soro does not, Sabree did not get in Zowaa no polictics. Soro on the other hand, you know it better then I do. In Sabree's situation no money issues were made. He was a good man.As far as you were involved at that time and you are sure that he wanted to join the Church of the East, then I don't know about that. I only know what I experienced.
As far as where he is today Fr. Sabree is in Iraq last time I heard. He is in a Catholic Church preaching.
thanks
