In 1982, a relative of mine came to Canada.
Our relative gained visa and they came. However, we had to drive from Hamilton to pick them up in Montreal.
Due to extreme bad telephone service in Lebanon, we were not able to get information of why they will be landing in Montreal which is about 7 (seven)hours from my home, and not in Toronto, in which it is 45 min.
On the day, they landed, we went to Montreal, driving 7 hours early morning. When we reached Montreal, we met and we headed home, to Hamilton, Ontario.
A relative asked when we will be arriving, I mentioned that the trip takes about 7 hours to reach home to Hamilton, Ontario.
Another 4 hours passed in our driving, than another 3 hours, than another 2 hours, and when I mentioned that we are now in Toronto, it will take us less than one hour, our relative said, that they were in Toronto, and had to wait two hours in order to take another flied to go to Montreal.I asked why he did that? He said, the travel agent in Beirut gave us the airplane tickets, and charged us extra because the airplane lands in Toronto, and said, that our reaching point will be very close to Ottawa, only one hour drive to Ottawa. Had we lived in Ottawa, It will take about two hours from Canada capital "Ottawa" and "Montreal".
I said, we do not live in Ottawa, we live in Upper Ottawa street, not in Capital of Canada "Ottawa".The travel agent in Beirut did not listen, did not read the instructions, and our relative did not know that you can find same street name in almost every city in North America.
