What will you write down on Census Day in Canada that is coming up soon, on May 2, 2006?
When it comes to Canada Statistic, what will you write? Arab, Kurdish, Assyrian, Turkman, Iranian, Isreli? Even Assyrian is not listed in Statistic Canada, you have to write it down by hand, as it was last time Canada Statistic done. Check the website at http://www.census2006.ca
Do not try to add religious names as C h a l do / Suryan / Siryany / Surrayah / Maronite / Suryoyo etc. and do not write down your tirbal entity. Write down your ethnic, Assyrian.
Anything else means you are NO Body ....
Remember, Suryoyo is not a nationalism, same is, C h a l do is not a nationalism. Putting religious entity is telling Statistic Canada that your ethnic is Arabic or others than Assyrian.
I am myself from Syric Catholic, from Lebanon, and I do not consider my ethnic as suryoyo, surayah, Siryany, and all the suro music mentioned that some few tribal people wanted to be a nationalism.
Even, being a Catholic, it was put on our family, imposed on us...., that is another story.Show me as a country, or government suryoyo / C h a l do that existed before, you find none. You will find "Assyria" as a nation that fell, and you will find Assyrian that are dominated by Arab/Kurdish/Turkish/Islamic's Human Rights abuse.
Anyone whom writes down a religious entity to replace our Assyrian national identity is helping attackers, muderous of our people in East Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Israel/Palestine/ north east Egypt and west Iran.
The true identity of our people is Assyrian. Christianity came after, and a religious identity should not delete the identity of the indigenous people of the land, the Assyrian.
Sure, we use interchangeable different words, in the past and today about who we are, and we refer to them of being Assyrian.
When I say, I am surrayah, I mean I am Assyrian. Our language we say surrayah, that means Assyrian, as well as, we say the same meaning, when I say, I am atourayah, it means I am Assyrian.Suryoyo, Surayah, Siryani, Atourayah, Ashurayah, Atour... all are one, they are Assyrian of different Christian religious sectors, and all came from Assyria, that is now occupied and controlled by for foreign people, Arab/Islamic etc.
You can see Syria is run by Arab Islamic , Iraq is run by Arab Islamic , Turkey is run by Turkish Islamic, etc.Suryoyo is not a nationalism. There were no country by name of Suryoyo. Suryoyo is a sector of Christian branch, encompasses with tribal ties of different avenues.
Anyone wishes to add religious name in Canada Statistic, please reviewing your people's history books.
In Lebanon, we have seen how the fall of Lebanon became complete in hands of Islamic/Arab and run by terrorists.
With all the lives scarified, we lost Lebanon, and we lost our people to be murdered not because we did not have the military power, but we did have people whom do not know who they are. They weaken themselves, and allowed others to run their life.
Let us unite for our people if we care about their life…., about our homeland "Assyria".
Unity is not by division. We will never leave our people to be slaved, massacred, discriminate, abused, and their rights get taken over by those whom took our homeland Assyria.
Our Canadian Assyrian must make a stand, everyone of us, and every Canadian Assyrian organization.
