Myaqra Akhona,

This is most interesting and specifically the word 'Gatarasis'.

Would you please elaborate further to the meaning of this word? Is it an Aramaic word and what is its source?

You also stated:
'Gatarasis is put upon a darghaia who commits a grave error against God's direct commandments and other serious (very serious matters) such as adultery'.

To your knowledge, and if I may ask the following questions:
* Has this verdict ever been imposed on any Darghaya in the past? If so, then who?
* If adultery commands such a punishment then why is it that it has not been use?
* Do adulterers retain the title 'Mar'.
* How long does this punishment last?

I realize these are very insensitive questions to be asked but it would seem anything goes these days.

Myaqra Akhona, if you deem these questions to be that then please accept my apologies and know that you are not obligated to answer them.

From an educational point of view a question need to be asked and more so from a scholarly person like yourself.
