Hello Shamiram,
by my church I mean the Church of the East, the doctrine, the traditions, and the teaching of the Church of the East. Not the name, the Church.
My Bishop has never belittled our nation and our mother church, and Cor-Bishop Samuel Dinkha never said that eeta is tpinta. Please go watch the original video on ARCTV.net, not the edited version, that's been cut in bits and pieces. Cor-Bishop Samuel Dinkha clearly said, the things that these bishops are wrong and not Christian, by this bishwaqena eeta rekhit tipna ateh mino. Again by what the bishops of ACOE are doing, not the eeta itself, I don't know why people don't see this, you really have to know a little Assyrian language not to understand that.
Again about H.G. Mar Bawai, he didn't say that the eeta is under anathema, but the K'noshya except for H.G. Mar Sargis are under anathema according to the Sunhados law, not according to Mar Bawai. I don't think any Bishop nor Priest will hate his eeta, this just doesn't register in my head. H.G. Mar Bawai has always taught us how to defend our eeta, we had many Bible studies on how to defend our eeta, and now you tell me that they hate it, I just don't think so. They dislike the work that's being done to the eeta on promoting nationalism in church, which is very wrong. You can't get people to come to church just by promoting nationalism, you get people to church by preaching the word of God.Yes I read the next verse in the Bible following verse 14, God's saying this is my name The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, God is referring to LORD GOD, not Ashur God. It's very clear.
I have friends that go to ACOE, and I know that they're hurting as much as we're hurting. We're both hurting by this separation, no one wants to separate, but it happened and we have to deal with it in a Godly way, and sorry to say, not many people are dealing with it in a Godly way, and I'm talking about both sides.
You are right Jesus did ask us to seek the truth, but Jesus also said, if you can't get to the truth, take someone with you to find it, if you still can't find it, take two people with you to find it, and if you still can't find it, just leave it alone and pray and I will answer you. I know that God doesn't answer prayers right away all the time (and this is from a personal experience), that's why I shall wait for the truth to come out.
