Dear Akshone Fil
I would like to share some of my thoughts with you, but I want you to know that I have read your thoughts and respected you as a sincere and ganuine person. for this reason, I will need you to listen to me and correct me if I am wrong.
I used to go under a different name in the Assyrian forum, but since the have stopped me from posting anything new for what I believed and said it, as well as going against Firas Jetto, who I believe is a biased person, then I started going under this name Akhona. The reason that I am going in this forum also, is that there are other people in the Assyrian forum who come and visit this forum, as I also put postings in the Assyrian forum under this name, and I am concerned that I would be banned for talking my opinion again if they find out, lol. I sincerely think if they do that, I will buy another laptop, just to make my points.
Any how, in regards to sharing my opinion, until very recently I used to partially believed and supported Mar Bawai Soro but as I had spoken to him on the phone (he knows me and our family) I clearly told him that I will not support him for 2 reasons, one is the fact that by going against the decision of the Holy Synod, he broke the law himself, and also I told him the 2nd reason is that if I support him fully, that means that I consider him not a bishop of our church, but because he has not been Qatarasised, I still think of him as a bishop. But recently I saw a signed document by our 5 priests studying the roman tactics (called theology, which I still do not believe them for the fact that they had that important document secret for 3 years, which is a joke, they thought that they are the judge and the jury and the decision makers and I see arrogance or naeivity in them). In those documents, those so known priests of our church, accused (and I say accused for the fact that I had not seen the defence of Mar Bawai) him of creating a secret strategy to convert our church to catholicism. I was extremely offended by the fact that he had that arrogance to do that without at least asking the opinion of the Assyrian Church members, especially his own congregation. when I saw his interview, in defence of this matter, I was shocked that he did not utter a word of defence but he merely said, that IT WAS TAKEN A BIT OUT OF PROPORTION. now that was the time, when I thought to myself, how could this person give our church a reformation if he intends to convert it to something else, for the reformation does not mean conversion.
As for what you said about breaking the laws of other Sonhdous meetings, although I agree with you, but my question to you and me is, what can we do? I still believe some one like Aprim Khamis should have been qatarassised from Dargha, but if they did not do it, I certainly am not going to leave my church for one who broke the law of God, for MY CHURCH IS MUCH BIGGER AND HOLIER THAN ANYONE ANYTHING and it belongs to Christ himself, so I guess if there is any blame, it should fall on my Lord who is the groom of this church and I know he loves it, and if he thinks this is needed, who am I or you or anyone to disagree with his decision, for he is powerfull and he can do what he wants if he likes, but if he does not, then, we can wait and be patient, this is one of the 7 virtues in the bible.
as for the multiple names, I should say my brother, all I can say, that multiple names did not get our rights, for there were no rights for our nation in the begining anyway, I have said this to Wilson Younan who is a good friend of mine and runs the Assyrian SBS community radio in Australia about 3 years ago, when the USA just attacked Iraq and everyone was thinking YEAH, NOW WE WILL GET OUR RIGHTS, LOL, WHAT A REDICULOUS THOUGHT.
You and I as well as the rest of Assyrian people have our thoughts of how this unity will come about, but all is wrong for there is no unity in the thought in the first place anyway. To create the untiy that we want, we must have a powerful force behind us, as well as a lot of cash, higly educated people and a strong group of groups of people to do whatever is asked of them no matter what it is. this sounds extreme, but you can not unite all with a gentle persuation as long as you have wolves among us, in the name of denominations, and positions. I am not against the believers of those denominations, but I am against the hijaking of our nations rights when they call themselves something else and yet they expect to be heard by a true and gaunine Assyrian.
Akhone Fil, you are my brother, and I will respect you as long as you know yourself Assyrian and care and dedicate whatever you can do for this nation and this church. The church is very important in holding one community together and the proof of what I say is what you see what is happening to our nation with your own eyes.
