Dear Fil:
I appreciate the your tone and civility in your postings. Hopefully I can match yours. I too am educated as is Persi and others who write on this Forum. Your affection for the Church of the East is refreshing and encouraging. But you need to be educated a little more.
First of all, there was never any evidence that the Bishop you accuse ever committed adultary. He was guilty of poor judgment and being dooped into an improper realtionship with a woman. A woman by the way that was indicted for extortion by the federal govenemnt. She fled the United States under arrest. Those are facts. There were rumors this woman was paid to bring this certain bishop down. However, he accepted the decision of the Synod like a man of God. Soro's sin is that he placed himself above the Synod and the Patriarch. So if you truly love this church, and I take you at your word, then ask Soro to leave like a man of God and not drag our beloved Church into the courts anymoe. Our foes delight in seeing the bishops opposing each other before a judge. Just ask Soro if he accepts the authority of the Synod? If so, then please accept their decision. If not, then ask him who does he answer to?
