If you have withdrawn your support from His grace Mar Bawai then fine. All I can do is try and understand your reasons and I will respect your right to what you think. So far I do not see you using rude language against anyone and this is not the case with some of the other people).
The signed document of the 5 priest is their way to thicken the plot against His Grace. They had a long time to come clean with this. They would have been a lot more affective in containing this crisis. No instead they wait till the volcano erupts then they come back oozing with truth. Their decision now is only to save their sorry hyde. Yeah they will tell you that they did not want to cause any anxieties so they swallowed the truth.
I also happen to believe that you can be coerced into saying something like what they put their signature to. Their future is at stake and once you learn not to tell the truth you can easily do it again
I will whole heartedly agree with the fact the converting our church is not an option and I will never ever support such a thought. However, I am all for the reforms that were mentioned. It bothers me to know there are 70; 80 year old people still have no idea what our Raza Qadeesha is all about. The young and the old do not understand it. I also do not care for the name “Assyrian” to have been added 30 odd years ago to the name of my church. It stood by the old name for over 1920 years and we have had many Patriarchs before His Holiness Mar Dinkha who did not tamper with the name. They believed as I do that a church can not specialize in one small nation.
Once again I agree that we as people of this nation should at one point come to grips with this name issue. Our politician did not manage this issue well in that it was a church issue in the first place. It still is a church issue but the devious do not want us to unite. Instead they have opted to distort history and brainwash the faithful. Amongst the devious there are some very educated people that thrive on deceiving simpler people. That is a sin and this process may take a very long time to correct. It may take a few generations to realize how wrong this is and the cure is to further educate the masses and to erect bridges of contact with one another. If we all become fanatics and draw a clear line then it is that much harder to foster understanding and feel comfortable enough to listen and talk to one another.
No one stays on the face of this earth forever. The mark I want to leave is the fact that I was willing to listen and talk. I do not want you to remember me as the one that threw that big stone to hurt you and make you bleed. All these stage actors that we currently have will return to what we all return to. It is a man-made problem and it can only be solved by the different set of people with different thinking and approaches.
All this bashing of Mr. Kanna (what does Karra Kanna mean?), Mar Bawai, Mar Meelos and Mar Dinkha is affecting my life and I object to such approach. To draw us into choosing sides and deciding which side you stand with is something we all have to deal with. How you deal with it is a personal choice and it should not be based on dark hate.
I do appreciate you taking the time to articulate your thoughts and I have a sneaking suspicious that I know who you are.
