A riddle for the Assyrians that love solving logic problems.

Can you determine the relationship between the switches and the light bulbs? In another word, which switch turns on which light bulb?

The riddle:
1- The are two separate rooms connected thru one door, the left room and the right room.

2- Being in one room, you can not see the inside of the other room.

3- There are three separate and independent switches in the left room. Switch 1, 2 and 3.

4- There are three separate and independent lamps or light bulbs in the right room. Light bulb a, b and c.

5- Each of the switches (in left room) is connected to one of the light bulbs (in the right room), but you don’t know which is which, of course.

6- All switchs and light bulbs are in the good working condition.

7- Your task is to go to the left room and spent and play, with switches, as much as you want. Remember, you will not be able to see the inside of the right room, therefore, you would not know what is happening in it.

8- When you’re done in the left or switch room, go to the right or light bulb room.

9- Do what ever you like to do in the right room (no breaking or damaging allowed, of course). When you’re ready, please answer the following question:

Can you tell us now, which light bulb is connected to which switch?

I’m hoping these riddles would give us a break from our usual subjects we discuss here.

Thank you.
