Dear Akhone

I am not as religious as you may think, but I have studiend Bible, Old and New, for the purpose of knowhing why I should believe in it, so my faith comes from searching for the truth to my curiosity. I see the truth with a heart and mind. For me, the truth is more important than religion itself, and as long as christianity obides by the truth, I will accept it, otherwise if it denies the truth or tries to destroy it, I will not respect it. Why I love our church and it's teaching, is not due to my birth in a church member family, but when I was 16 and started reading Communism, Islam, and other religions before I even opend up the Bible.
I believe a truth has to make sence, it has to let me be who I am, let me free in making my own judgement and must not prevent me from being myself. Our church's teaching is that we are born free, we are Assyrians and it let's me be proud of my own identity. for that reason, I will not swap our church's teaching, with any other ideology in the world including other so called christian thinking, no matter what they are offering.

One is fool to think by changing his own name or identity, can be the same or achieve much more than what he has already achieved. Mar Bawai's supporters, including Mar Bawai himself, are mislead in thinking that by conversion to any other ideology other than our forefathers, have left us with their neck blood, will achieve more than what we have.

I believe in what my heart and mind tell me, and not what I think who is more powerful, for all power and glory belongs to God and man is to follow his conscience and the truth.
