Please see the following definition of freedom of speech or freedom of expression:

“Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

The right to freedom of expression is not absolute; governments may still prohibit certain damaging types of expressions. Under international law, restrictions on free speech are required to comport with a strict three part test: they must be provided by law, pursue an aim recognized as legitimate, and be necessary (i.e., proportionate) for the accomplishment of that aim. Amongst the aims considered legitimate are protection of the rights and reputations of others (prevention of defamation), and the protection of national security and public order, health and morals. It is generally recognized that restrictions should be the exception and free expression the rule.”

Bet-Nahrain forum is an Assyrian forum. It is here to help with distribution of Assyrian related information, protect the Assyrian identity, culture, and above all the Assyrian Cause.

Any individual, regardless of their level of education or status who participates in this forum must respect the basic Assyrian principles. The principles include: The Assyrian identity and the Assyrian Cause which is to have legitimate representation in our homeland to obtain our national and political rights.

Those who support the internal and external conspirators and enemies of our people must be very careful how they exercise their freedom of speech on this forum.

Anyone who helps and supports those who are determined to destroy our identity, our rights, our national church, etc…are considered a threat to our national well being. If we were a government, they would be considered a threat to our national security as mentioned in the above encyclopedia definition.

The only people who are banned from this forum are those who issue personal threats and profanity. This beautiful Assyrian garden must be weeded out occasionally to preserve its true Assyrian image.

Those who do not feel obligated to respect their host’s basic principles are like uninvited guests that are allowed in as long as they do not degrade themselves and the host. They may present their ideas, but they must also be prepared to be responded to.
