I absolutely agree that we should not settle.
At the same time our lawyers and the church leaders I think have a responsibility to the members to be keen and smart.
It is not election of a mayer that will effect our case. Is the election of the DA for the county. If you review the donors for Ms. Carr, Church of the east, #####, is the only religion organization that is on the list. Ofcourse you have Ken tailo, Margaret Petros, & few others of the ex-bishop.

The oponent of Ms. Carr is the outgoing current DA's Deputy. Our Mayor, Ron Gonzale is in a lot trouble right now over money laundering and deals with the garbage company and teamsters.
To make it short, there is already a campaign assoiciating Ms. Carr's opponent as an insider with the mayor's group.

I just hope that we are not naieve enough to ignor the political connections, after all there was a reason they were created.
