*** I never said I hoped the Assyrian rights be achieved by these ministers. These were my exact words,“Our hope, and I repeat, our “hope” is that these five ministers help our Cause in Iraq through their influence with the Iraqi and Kurdish Parliament. It’s only natural to expect them to be sympathetic to their own nation’s needs and Cause. We have repeatedly said these individuals are being given adequate time and opportunity to redeem themselves.
It’s a shame and the ultimate degradation for these ministers to be called Kurd or Christian by the news media, but the dates of the news links you have provided vary from 1 day to 11 days !

New York Times was published July 02, 06 (which for us here in America is still July 01, 06)In all fairness, shouldn’t we allow adequate time for these ministers to respond, to issue a press release or do something? Or not respond so that we can put them aside once and for all and accept that they will not be any better for our people than Kanna was? For three years we kept telling people Kanna needs to be cast aside, there are still some of his puppets defending him. All we have said is to wait for a little while (just a few weeks) to give a chance to these ministers to redeem themselves. And, if they failed to correct the media on calling them Kurd, it will become apparent to everyone that they have accepted beign called Kuds and they should not be trusted, period. In my book, they are already guilty of letting this happen, but some of our people need to see more evidence. So, that is why we should wait, not three years, but just a few weeks.
This policy of waiting a few weeks should in no shape or form be taken as if AssyriaSat is “talk only” and no action. I think we have been there long enough and fought hard enough not to be accused of that. We will fulfill our duty by our nation when the time is right, and when the evidence is piled up such that no one can deny it.
