Assyrian,
In your post under the title, "there is nothing wrong with the bishop" you said:
"The reason why is because the bishop was ordained with chrism oil making him holy, something that cannot be reversed."
*** Please answer this question for me. If God forbid, the chrism oil is accidentally spilt on the rug, would that rug become irreversibly holy?
I am not mocking the importance of the chrism oil or the ordainment of holy men. I feel that sometimes, because of our faith we throw the logic out and that is when we get in trouble and lose the sight of the truth. As a lay person, I believe that the affects of the Holy Spirit are permanent. You can not be holy one day and a thief the next day. Furthermore, the ex-bishop has criticized, degraded and denied the ACOE Synod’s holy deeds, what makes you think a man who does not believe in the dargheh the church gave him still gets to keep those dargheh?
