You said, “I suggest we take the following actions now:

1- Class Action Lawsuit against Former Bishop. All members of ACOE of California Western Diocese who support H.H. Mar Dinkha will be included in this class action case.

2- We have to protest this illegal theft by gathering at our Churches and confront these outsiders and tell them to leave the properties. The active members of our Churches know who these outsiders are. Believe me the next time they get invited by former Bishop to attend our Churches, they will think twice before they show up. Mr. Soro might get some of us arrested but sooner or later we have to confront them (the sooner the better).”

*** I agree with your first suggestion. However, I respectfully disagree with the second. Gathering at the churches and confrontation will only add to the problem, not to mention it will be an obvious way of defying the judge’s order. How do you think the judge will look at that when the trial starts?

There are many things we can do to help this case within the legal frame. I am not a lawyer, but I know that any reversal or modification to the judge’s order must be done through legal channels. Confronting your opponents in front of the churches will not help our case at all.

Those who are members of these churches should attend regularly. Those who are in the church committees should be smart and honest with the members, and report any foul play. Those who are not members of those particular three churches should continue providing support and encouragement. The ACOE lawyers should be aggressive and fight this case to the best of their abilities. Which means ask for everything that was taken or stolen and demand punitive damages as well. Those legitimate Medias should continue to present the truth to the public and expose black propagandas. Those wishy washy priests and deacons anywhere in the ACOE should be replaced with decent men of God. Teachers must stop telling the youths during youth meetings that Bawai’s issue as a political issue and that ACOE youth should not talk or even think about it! (As it has been happening in some of our churches). The Assyrians who are not members of the ACOE should help and support their mother church. Donations should be pouring in to keep this expensive wheel turning.

The list goes on and on. What is important is that those activities should continue no matter how long this case drags! When you are fighting a just war, time is not of essence. Assyrians have been fighting to survive and obtain their rights even since the fall of Nineveh! Instead of upsetting ourselves about how long this case may drag we should tell ourselves, the longer it drags, the stronger our resolve will be. This is a war of good verses evil. It shall continue until justice is served.
