Dear all,
Click below to read the Plaintiff’s Preliminary Injunction Brief. Interesting enough, you will see a quote of Former Bishop Soro’s statement in a letter to Patriarch on May 27, 1988, “When, God forbid, a legal danger comes upon the properties of the church in a parish or diocese, no one person shall be able to take the properties because they are not the parish’s or diocese’s, rather they are the properties of the corporation, that is the Holy Synod under the presidency of the Catholicos Patriach.”
Soro clearly understood his role in 1988 where in the same letter he says, “The present bylaws of each diocese clearly demonstrate how the bishop as the head of the diocese is 100% under the Synodal Canons, the Holy Synod and the authority of the Catholicos Patriarch.”
The most pressing question at this time is how could a judge, who claims has read everything presented to him by both parties, disregard Soro’s own confessions and give him even an hour of control of any church! In my humble opinion a change of venue is in order.
